We, Alberta Partition Construction Ltd., are looking for a passionate candidate for the position of full-time Carpenter.

 

Position: Carpenter, framing (NOC 72310)

Vacancies: 1

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time (30 to 40 hours per week), Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Overtime available, To be determined.

Hourly Wage: $36.00 – 38.00

Expected Start Date: As soon as possible

Work Location: 23 Marquis Meadows PL SE Calgary , Alberta T3S 0A6

 

Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

·       Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine layout and installation procedures.

·       Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, steel studs, and other materials according to specifications.

·       Construct and install wood and steel stud framing, interior partitions, cabinetry, millwork, and other structural components for commercial interior and related construction projects.

·       Operate and maintain hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.

·       Ensure components are properly aligned and securely fastened using appropriate tools and materials.

·       Perform detailed finishing work, including sanding, trimming, fitting, and sealing.

·       Repair or replace damaged cabinetry, fixtures, or structures as necessary.

·       Coordinate with clients, contractors, and team members to ensure installation meets design specifications and client expectations.

·       Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with workplace safety regulations.

·       Adhere to company quality standards and timelines

 

 

Position Requirements and Qualifications:

·       Completion of secondary school

·       3-5 years of experience in carpentry or cabinet making

·       Supervisor experience is an asset.

·       Experience with commercial interior framing, steel stud framing, partitions, drywall, millwork, or modular wall systems is an asset.

·       Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment safely and accurately.

·       Certificate of apprenticeship program or college diploma in the related field as an asset

·       Physical capability of performing duties

·       Ability to handle up to 50lbs (23kg)

·       A valid driver’s license is required, own vehicle is an asset
