NOC Group: Construction Trades Helpers and Labourers – Driller Helper (75110)

Positions Available: 15

Job Location: 2728 Pacific Street Smithers, BC & various remote locations in British Columbia.
Language: English

Employment Terms: Seasonal

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Start Date of Employment (approx.): May 1, 2026

 

Skills Requirements:
•       Standard First Aid with CPR C with Transportation Endorsement

•       Valid Driver’s License

•       Minimum 1-2 years experience assisting in the operation of U5 and Hydracore diamond drills.

•       Minimum 1-2 years experience assisting in the operation of directional drill tooling (e.g. Devico or Mud Motor)

•       Must pass a Drug and Alcohol test.

Wages and Benefits:
•       Driller Helper wage: $27.00 /hour

•       Meterage Bonus: $1.00 – $2.50 per meter

•       Travel Expenses paid by employer.

•       Extended health

•       28/14 – schedule

Job Duties
NOC: 75110 Construction Trades Helpers and Labourers – Driller Helper – Surface Mining

•       Load and unload construction materials and move materials to work areas.

•       Assist heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipment, signal operators to guide them in moving equipment and provide assistance in other activities.

•       Assist in drilling.

•       Assist miners in excavating and in setting up and operating various drills and other surface mining machinery.

•       Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction such as mixers, compressors, and pumps.

•       Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants.

•       Oil and grease equipment.

•       Perform other activities as directed.
