Responsibilities

Tasks

•       Greet customers and present beverage menus.

•       Make recommendations, upsell, and answer guests’ inquiries.

•       Check identification of customers to verify they are of legal drinking age.

•       Follow the liquor laws and legislation of British Columbia

•       Take orders.

•       Record drink orders accurately into the Squirrel system

•       Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in accordance with standard recipes.

•       Peel, slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks.

•       Mix and garnish cocktails according to standard specs.

•       Serve snacks and food to customers.

·       Respond promptly to requests from customers in a polite and professional fashion.

•       Able to recognize signs of intoxication and attend to the guests as per the liquor consumption laws.

•       Prepare checks and process transactions using the POS system.

•       Ensure tidiness and cleanliness of the environment. Follow sanitation plan and procedures.

•       Polish glasses, clean and maintain in good condition bar equipment and working areas.

•       Comply with all health, safety and hygiene standards and policies.

•       Balance the cash register

•       Monitor inventory.

•       Order and restock bar inventory.

•       Organize empty bottles recycling room.

• Help the team and management with any other duties required.
