Graphic Designer – CAD Layouts

Overview

We, A1 Granite & Marble Ltd., are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented candidate for the position of full-time Graphic Designer – CAD Layouts!

 

Position: Graphic Designer – CAD Layouts (NOC 52120)

Vacancies: 1

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time (30 to 40 hours per week), Morning, Day, To be determined.

Hourly Wage: $30.00 – $32.00

Expected Start Date: As soon as possible

Work Location: 10758 74 St SE, Calgary, AB  T2C 5N6

 

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·       Consult with clients, sales staff, showroom staff, and project teams to understand countertop design requirements, visual preferences, project concepts, and communication needs.

·       Prepare CAD-assisted visual layouts, floor plan concepts, design sketches, and countertop presentation drawings for kitchen, bathroom, furniture, display unit, and table top projects.

·       Convert client sketches, measurements, templates, and project concepts into clear visual layouts and presentation drawings for client review and internal communication.

·       Create graphic layout drawings and visual presentations showing countertop shapes, dimensions, colours, stone patterns, edge profiles, seams, backsplashes, and design options.

·       Develop graphic elements and visual materials to residential and commercial clients

·       Use CAD, image processing, layout, and graphic design software to prepare two-dimensional project visuals and communication materials.

·       Review layouts and presentation drawings for visual accuracy, consistency, readability, and alignment with client requirements and company design standards.

·       Coordinate with other teams to update visual layouts, project presentation materials, and design records as required.

·       Prepare and maintain organized digital design files, project images, stone visuals, templates, layout references, and product image resources.

·       Support website, showroom, gallery, and marketing needs by preparing product visuals, completed-project graphics, stone layout examples, and other graphic materials when required.

 

 

 

Position Requirements and Qualifications:

·       A college diploma in graphic arts, graphic design, visual communications, CAD design, drafting, interior design, or a related field OR equivalent experience

·       2-3 years of proven work experience in a related role

·       Experience using CAD or layout software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Cabinet Vision, or similar programs, together with graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva, or similar software.

·       Ability to read measurements, sketches, floor plans, and basic project specifications and translate them into clear digital layouts.

·       Strong attention to detail and ability to distinguish between colours, textures, stone patterns, measurements, layouts, and visual styles.

·       Efficient interpersonal skills, client focus, creativity, reliability, accuracy, team player
