As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dedicated and skilled individual to join our production team.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Lead Screen Printer & Production Coordinator to become a key part of our team. In this role, you will be the primary operator of our screen-printing equipment while also taking responsibility for supervising daily production schedules, maintaining quality standards, and supporting junior production staff. This is a hands-on role that requires both technical expertise and strong organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
Screen Printing Operations:
• Set up, operate, and maintain manual and automatic screen-printing presses for a variety of apparel and textile products.
• Review job orders to determine specifications, including ink colour, placement, and garment type.
• Prepare screens, mix inks (including water-based inks), and ensure precise colour matching and registration.
• Monitor the printing process to maintain high-quality output and troubleshoot any technical issues with presses or curing equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and care of all printing equipment and the workspace.
Production Coordination & Supervision:
• Plan, oversee and coordinate the daily printing schedule to meet client deadlines and optimize production efficiency.
• Oversee workflow on the production floor, ensuring all safety and operational procedures are followed.
• Train and guide junior print assistants and production staff in proper printing techniques and shop procedures.
• Conduct quality control checks on printed garments prior to packaging and fulfillment.
• Recommend measures to improve productivity, product quality, and workplace efficiency
• Requisition and manage inventory of inks, garments, and production supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels to maintain uninterrupted operations.
• Assist in evaluating team performance and make recommendations regarding staffing, including hiring, training needs, and recognition of staff contributions.
What We Are Looking For
• High school diploma is required
• Minimum 2 years of proven, hands-on experience in screen printing is required —preferably within the apparel or textile industry.
• Strong knowledge of printing techniques, ink types (including water-based inks), and curing processes.
• Ability to coordinate production schedules and manage multiple print jobs simultaneously.
• Excellent attention to detail with a strong eye for colour accuracy and design alignment.
• Ability to guide and support a small production team.
• Good problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude for equipment troubleshooting.
